Fun with a cheap camera

Some people go to college to learn how to manipulate other people out of their hard earn. They employ various sciences and arts to do so, but it all boils down to basically one thing. They use fear, either implicitly, or explicitly. They are called marketers. They work in teams, much like wolves do. They conduct and study research to discover the what when where why and how of our consumption hoping to tease out some lever to use against our resolve and our better judgment. I hope all of these people burn in hell, which I hope exists, if only for them.

One thing they like to tell you is that you need a new camera. A brand new camera, crammed full of all the brand new shit, so you can take pictures that will make you cry fire, and make your enemies wish they were your friends. Fuck all that bullshit. NEVER buy a new camera. All of these pictures were taken with a camera system I bought used. The Nikon N65 SLR body cost me a cool ¥4000 (or around $40, if you like). The lenses I used are varied, but only one among them was new at time of purchase.

The camera is just a tool. You were born with eyes. If you pay a little attention, make a lot of mistakes, and keep trying, you get better. A better camera will never translate into better pictures. The money you save on equipment, by buying used, can be put towards traveling to places where interesting things can be captured on film or on memory card.

Fuck marketing teams, and advertisers. They are the enemy of society.

Aint that some shit?
