I am waiting for an email. One that tells me I can quit my job with my half-assed, always fucking shit up, stupid disorganized current employer. A new job means working more hours, more pay, and stronger experience toward someday becoming a real honest to goodness teacher. All of which leaves me feeling rather ambivalent, because who the fuck wants to work more hours?
Still, living with myself for as long as I have has taught me that I am completely irresponsible with my money and my time. I think the problem lies with having too much of the latter, and NEVER enough of the previous. Since that is human nature, I will now forgive myself, and go back to hoping I get that new job (one of the two I have applied for, at any rate).
The real question is, how much notice do I give to my current employer when I eventually upgrade my situation? I don't owe nobody shit, right? And yet, quitting does effect my boss negatively. Homeboy puts in about a 90 hour week. BUT. it should be mentioned that it is his business, and he is Japanese, so working 90 hours a week is as natural for him as working 25 is to me. That's just how I roll. We come from different cultures, he and I...
Where's my fucking email!?
