This was scanned from the actual print, using my okay scanner (600 DPI max???), with substandard software. Processing included straightening the image, as the original was out of skew, and then further cropping through Aperture 2.0. Then, I ran it through a seperate dedicated black and white program called Silver Efex Pro, to boost structure, and further blow out the contrast. It's not at all ideal, but I am kind of doing the best I can...

I take it back, this looks like shit blown up, which belies the sharpness the camera its self, and speaks directly too weakness of the scanner. Every other link in the chain, from camera, to computer, to software, is rock solid. Looking at this soft image, you'd never guess. I suppose you can only cut so many corners.
Back to the drawing board...
Every link in your digital chain of command is a place to create anew. Or eff up anew. Depends on how you crank up the ol' spin machine.
