Choices!

I still cannot make up my mind. And, what is more, other variables have entered the fray
, naturally.

Do I get a:
Macbook Pro
iMac 21"
or
a Mac Mini?

I want more power god damn it!

So that means the Macbook is out.

The iMac is an affordable beast rocking a 3GHz processor, and 4gb of RAM with a 500gb HD. End of story, right? Not so fast, apparently the iMac has been having MASSIVE issues with it's delicious screen. People have taken one home, plugged in, and... nothing. What the huh? Another issue has been a piss yellow tint effecting all or most of the screen. The worst part of these issues is that Apple has been ignoring them, and customer complaints, completely. Sweet.

Then there's the little Mac that could, insert its self into the debate. This little guy sports a 2.53ghz brain chip, 4gb RAM, and a not insubstantial 320gb HD. It doesn't come with a monitor, but I already have a 19" flatscreen that I got just to watch stuff from my laptop. It also does not come with a keyboard or mouse (unlike the iMac), so I can tack on another $140
(because I want wireless peripherals) to the $800 price tag of the Mini, bringing it into the range of the iMac. Well, within $200 thereof.

But wait. A laptop is the can do unit of the 21st century. Nah, fuck it, I can't get excited enough about the Macbook Pro to replace my murdered Macbook. Vulnerability is still enough of a deterrent right now for me to scratch that one off the list completely.

Another issue now is fucking OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard, and the fact that I don't fucking want it on my new system. A lot of the software I like to use doesn't work on the OS, so I have to format my fucking HD from the very start, and then reload with an older (PROVEN!) OS, aka regular old Leopard. That's gonna take like an hour or more... god damn it.

Choice is great, but it also sucks. I'm lucky to have some, but jesus h. kryst what a pain in the ass it ends up being. By the posting of this, I still haven't decided which system to get. I hope to get it today...
