Everyone who goes to Japan goes with certain ideas of what Japan looks like. They're all wrong. Anything beautiful in Japan is stupid difficult to get to, unless you have a car, in which case it's only difficult to get to, and stupid expensive. This is what Japan looks like. Notice there are no geisha, or shrines, or any of that other shit fat males with bad complexions, and zero chance of getting laid, like to go on about.
Japan is a fascinating place though. Just beware of your own expectations.
